Archerfield Wetlands ramble
Sun 09th Feb 2025
This is a pleasant, flat and easy 7 km ramble through the150 acre park, with grasslands, marsh and wetlands, and open forrest. It is 3 km each way, with a 450m detour to a tongue of land by a marsh with shady trees, and an excellent bird watching site. The bird watching is the highlight, and there is plenty of informative signage to assist. Bring binoculars if you have them, and a hat, as main path is very open. The park is dog friendly.
Bring drinks, tea or coffee. Morning tea (scones) will be provided. We will be finished before lunch.
Meet at cnr Nicholas and South Streets, Ipswich at 7am
