SUMMARY:Valley of the Diamonds from Perseverance Dam

DESCRIPTION:The walk basically follows the Cressbrook Creek downstream f
 rom the dam picnic area. The escarpment is followed for a short distance
  to get views of the dam and the valley below. Then an old dirt road alo
 ng the ridge line is followed down to the creek. The creek becomes very 
 rugged as you approach the junction of Crows Nest Creek and Cressbrook C
 reek.There is some creek walking and bashing through bush. If time permi
 ts we may walk up Crows Nest Creek towards Valley of the Diamonds. I hav
 en't done this walk previously, so be prepared. There is parking, picnic
  facilities and toilets at the Perseverance Dam rest area.
