Bay Islands Excursion
Sun 12th Oct 2025
This will be a relaxing day exploring the Bay Islands in Moreton Bay. We will commence the trip from the Redlands Bay Marina on the 9.00 a.m. ferry. (Payment with your Go Card). We'll stop at Karragarra Island for morning tea. The next stop will be Lamb Island which we will explore on foot. This will be an easy walk of no more than five kilometres where we can learn a little of the history of the island and discover some secluded getaways and beaches. There is a swimming enclosure at a quiet location, so bring your togs if you would like a quick dip. Then it's back on the ferry to Macleay Island where a courtesy bus will drive us to the Macleay Island Bowls Club for lunch. We will return to the starting point via Russell Island. Be sure to bring your Go Card, hat, water, morning tea and money for lunch.
If you would like to car pool from Ipswich, please contact me (0407 110 927). You will meet at the usual spot on corner of South and Nicholas Streets, Ipswich at 7.00 a.m.
