After meeting in central Ipswich, we will proceed to the start of the walk at Upper Brookfield. The 5.1- km route starts near the top of the reservoir wall. We will follow the walking trail clockwise around the Reservoir. You will pass through grassy forests of tall eucalypts and rainforest plants in the protected gullies. It is steep in some places, however the views, birdsong and peaceful 2 hours or so of hiking are worth it. Back to the carpark and morning tea at a nearby Cafe. Suitable for beginners, bring along walking poles. HD
