Moonlight Walk - Mt Mitchell M33

Mt Mitchell has a track that begins opposite the car park at Cunningham’s Gap itself. It’s a ten kilometre return journey packed with beautiful vegetation and wide screen views of the surrounding countryside. The walk takes about four hours return; not including food stop. We plan to have our evening meal at the top before descending the same way as we ascended. One of the interesting things about the walk is the different types of vegetation. One minute you can be in open forest, and then the next in rainforest. The walk has views along the way with the most spectacular being at the walk’s end.
