This is one of the classic walks of Brisbane Forest Park. We start walking from near Wivenhoe Outlook and finish near Cedar Flats Picnic Area so it's all downhill. On the way to and through the gorge we will encounter thick eucalypt and rain forest, palm grove filled valleys and a possible swim through the gorge. So remember to bring your swimming attire and plastic bags to keep the content of your backpack and your boots dry. After the 2011 floods the gorge had filled with sand but we are not sure what has happened during recent downpours so we need to be prepared. DW
