There is also a motel just up the road if preferred. The Showgrounds have powered and unpowered sites and good facilities, just a short walk from the hotel a nd other food outlets in the main street. Perhaps we will have dinner at the hotel on the Saturday night or possibly the Sunday night too. The R adnor Hotel Blackbutt has a reputation for good meals at reasonable pric es, and is open late on Sat and Sun evenings. The Linville Hotel is open late on Sat evening and for Lunch on Sun. Let us know which you prefer closer to the time. Accommodation costs are very reasonable: Camping – $10 per person per night (unpowered); $13 per person per night/ $25 cou ple (powered) . Contact Hotel/Motel directly for current pricing. We wil l be walking sections of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BVRT) on Saturd ay afternoon, Sunday and Monday on the way home. These are some of the b est bush sections of the trail and are also the steepest (for a railway line), but the good news is that we will walk them all in the downhill d irection with car shuffles. We plan to do the Blackbutt-Benarkin section (5km) on Saturday for those who are there by about 3pm. On Sunday we wi ll walk either from Benarkin down to Linville (17km) or Yarraman to Blac kbutt (19Km). On Monday we have a choice of which ever didn't get walked on Sunday. Or if a shorter day is preferred then Linville-Moore (7km) o r Moore-Harlin (13km), depending on how much energy we have left. Check out the BVRT website for more details of the walks. If you are intereste d, please plan ahead as we will need to make bookings no later than earl y-April or we will not get in. These venues are very popular with a rang e of bike, caravan and 4WD groups. It should be a great weekend with fai rly easy walks and a good social occasion. You will need to make your ow n way to Blackbutt and have your own equipment to camp. URL:https://ipswichbushwalkers.mybilby.com/activities/720 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
