Stradbroke Island Beach Walk

We will leave Ipswich at 6.00 am in time to catch the water taxi leaving from Cleveland at 7.55 am. The cost of the water taxi is $21.00 return or $10.50 for concession card holders. We will catch the bus at Dunwich to take us to the interchange for Amity Point. Then we will catch another bus to Amity Point. The cost of the bus is $10.00 or $5.00 for concession card holders for a daily ticket. The bus accepts cash or EFTPOS but not Go Cards. Once at Amity, we will walk along the beach past Flinders Beach, Cylinder Beach and other headlands before reaching Point Lookout. The distance is approximately 12 kilometres. There should be spectacular views towards Moreton Island. We will have lunch near Point Lookout. After lunch, we have the option of doing the gorge walk where there is usually interesting marine life such as turtles. We will stop for an ice cream before returning by bus to Dunwich.
