DESCRIPTION:We will travel through Samford Village and Dayboro on the wa
 y to Mt Mee and park at "The Gantry", an old saw milling site that close
 d in 1981. From here we will follow a well-graded trail through, at firs
 t, rainforest then open Gum and dry heath forest. The half way mark is t
 he location of the Somerset Lookout, a lookout area on the edge of the e
 scarpment that affords views of Somerset and Wivenhoe dams. Also of inte
 rest here is a small number of Cycad Palms. From the lookout it is an un
 dulating walk back to the Gantry car park and picnic area. This walk is 
 approximately 13 kms and takes 4 - 5 hrs to complete.
