Valley of the Diamonds from Perseverance Dam

The walk basically follows the Cressbrook Creek downstream from the dam picnic area. The escarpment is followed for a short distance to get views of the dam and the valley below. Then an old dirt road along the ridge line is followed down to the creek. The creek becomes very rugged as you approach the junction of Crows Nest Creek and Cressbrook Creek. There is some creek walking and bashing through bush. If time permits we may walk up Crows Nest Creek towards Valley of the Diamonds. I haven't done this walk previously, so be prepared. There is parking, picnic facilities and toilets at the Perseverance Dam rest area.
