Coochiemudlo Island and Victoria Point Foreshore 10km total S33

We'll leave Ipswich to catch the ferry from Victoria Pt. 0.50c fares still apply. Coochiemudlo Island trail includes walking along sand, mangroves, parks and some roads. Although it’s not a difficult walk, good walking shoes are suggested. Dogs are welcome on the beaches and ferry on leash but can’t enter the melaleuca forest. When we return to Victoria Point we will follow the foreshore for a 5.3 km walk with the option of a short detour to the Egret Colony Wetlands. This walk is suitable for beginners. Don't forget to bring water, sunscreen and a hat. Insect repellent if required. There should be the opportunity to purchase Morning tea on the Island if you wish. Other wise bring your own. Meet at the cnr of Nicholas and South St (Opp Ipswich Civic Centre) to car pool.
